This strategy proposes that incremental changes over time to the city of London will mutate its shape thus enabling growth. Based on analysis of the past and current trends it aims to make predictions on the future of the city. Central to the strategy is a reconfiguration of the core of the city with the removal of non essential retail based uses as these activities become established in the virtual world. In turn online communities such as facebook will emerge into the real world as people wish to interact face to face in newly expropriated spaces. In addition the existing transport infrastructure will be transformed into an intelligent responsive network, this will be combined with the introduction of car free zones, which will initially be implemented in the city core. The strategy explores the repercussions of a number of modifications as drivers of change and the resulting mutation to the city’s shape, which is turned inside out.

The image above shows the first stage (2050) which is the driver of the city's mutation which by 2100 will be turned inside out. I am a bit pushed for time so unlikely that I will have more than two a1 sheets to give an overview of my strategy.
